Gift to support John Molson School of Business students in entrepreneurship
MONTREAL, June 29/CNW Telbec – Concordia University is pleased to announce today a $60,000 donation over three years from Fuller Landau Montreal to support undergraduate and graduate students who specialize in entrepreneurship and encourage local family-business development.
The funds will go toward bursaries for John Molson School of Business (JMSB) students and two awards. The Best Student Paper Award will recognize academic excellence in the field of entrepreneurial family firms, and the Entrepreneurial Family Business Award, the contributions of a Montreal-based family business that has advanced the development of Canadian life and stimulated the growth of local and regional entrepreneurial ventures.
“Fuller Landau is proud to be associated with the reputable John Molson School of Business,” said Michael Newton, Managing Partner of Fuller Landau Montreal. “Family-run businesses and entrepreneurs play such an important role in the economic fabric of Quebec and we are pleased to provide support and recognize excellence.”
JMSB Dean Sanjay Sharma says the gift will help JMSB students further explore the multi-faceted and dynamic nature of entrepreneurship studies. “We are delighted to support the development of family firms in the Montreal area and to promote the social contributions made by local family businesses.”
