Myer Spivak, CPA, CA
Myer Spivak gets right to the point in describing what Fuller Landau LLP does for clients: “We take chaos and we create order out of it,” he points out.
Myer has being doing this for almost 40 years, including the last 25 as a Fuller Landau LLP partner. He describes himself as “an accountant’s accountant”, a general practitioner who is versed in accounting, corporate and personal taxes, holding corporations, real-estate partnerships and a whole lot more.
He considers his clients as being “part of the family,” and in Myer, clients are getting much more than wise business counsel. “You’re also the psychologist, the doctor and the support group,” he explains. “I can pretty much close most files without even talking to the clients because I get to know them and I know how they react and think.”
Myer, who is a doting grandfather and devoted bird watcher, is also a strong team player, one who is not afraid to draw on the resources of his Fuller Landau LLP colleagues. “That’s the tremendous thing about a firm our size,” he notes. “We have young grads who are computer whizzes and partners with vast experience in everything under the sun. And we’re able to bounce so many ideas off each other.”
