From a very young age Ted Greenfield has volunteered as a member of the community, largely through B’nai Brith, a Jewish human rights advocacy and community volunteer service organization, with whom Mr. Greenfield has been heavily involved and has held various leadership positions for over 60 years. He was recently elected Senior Vice-President of B’nai Brith International, representing B’nai Brith in over 50 countries.

Due to his background as a Chartered Accountant, Mr. Greenfield helped the organization put in place sound financial, personnel and management  practices which have been an integral component of the organizations’ survival. With an annual budget of approximately 12 million dollars, in addition to the individual budgets for each branch, Mr. Greenfield felt that having proper budgeting processes in place was key to the organization’s success. This process involved working with the various divisions and teaching them the best ways to ensure that their money was well spent, that it was being spent responsibly, and that expenditures were made with the purpose of achieving the goals of the organization.  With this he taught them the concept of budgetary planning in financial decision making and created an awareness of the need for self-sufficiency within each arm of the organization.  At the same time, and throughout his years with the organization, he was also able to teach the various branches of the organization how to ensure that good management practices are in place, how to plan strategically and how to practice proper governance.

His lifelong community involvement has brought tremendous pride to the firm, and the extensive network of contacts  he developed has been a great contributor to the firm’s growth.

Throughout his entire career, Mr. Greenfield has always represented himself as a Partner of Fuller Landau LLP, and still today as a Consultant.  He acted as a coach and mentor to numerous Chartered Accountants within the firm, helping many of them achieve Partnership.
