Working as a Staff Auditor
Right from the start, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the team and play an essential role in the completion of client files. Your knowledge will be put to the test with reviews, notice to readers, audits and preparation of financial statements, as well as with the completion of personal and corporate tax returns. You will be coached by various colleagues on how to complete different sections of a file and within the first few weeks you will even be sent to clients. Moreover, within the first year you can expect to progressively take on more responsibility and even have the opportunity to complete certain files on your own.
About 50% of the work you complete will be on the client’s premises, where you will be working as part of a team that is always available to answer your questions and provide guidance in dealing with new issues. Our client base is composed of small and midsized businesses, mainly in the Greater Montreal region. All of our clients are privately-owned enterprises, many of them owner managed. Our clients are in various industries such as manufacturing, distribution, high-tech, service, retail, NPOs, real-estate, etc.

“I was always offered a helping hand”
The moment I stepped through the FL Fuller Landau doors, I was immersed into the world of accounting with training and my first experience on an audit file. I will never forget the experience with its challenges, my accomplishments and the knowledge that I gained. As a junior auditor with many questions, I was always offered a helping hand whether from a partner, manager or from a fellow junior auditor. Although I may not have had much experience, my ideas were welcomed and appreciated. With all the opportunities and tools that FL Fuller Landau has given me, I have been able to expand my knowledge and grow as an auditor. There is never a dull moment at Fuller whether it is being challenged in my day to day work as an auditor or whether it’s spending time with my colleagues raising money for Cedars or relaxing together after a day of hard work. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my career.

People at FL create a friendly atmosphere but at the same time, it is very professional. Everyone is always willing to answer questions and to help develop the teams’ skills. FL did not offer me a just an average internship, but a great internship. I had the chance to work on several mandates and to be exposed to a variety of industries. I never thought I would learn this much and I have loved every moment. I would definitely recommend FL Fuller Landau to my friends and fellow students.
